Abbott should sent the Trade Minister to Brazil and cut a deal on taxing Iron Ore exports.
Brazil attempted to impose a 10% export tax in Brazil's IO exports in 2009 but Vale and
other miners managed to scotch it in the same way as BHP, Rio & Fortescue scotched our
MRRT.
We now need more revenue to balance the budget and pay down debt so rather than
cruel the poor and the working stiffs, why can we not collect more royalties and corporate taxes?
Who is this Government acting on behalf of anyway? Let's hope it is not on behalf of its Mining Industry
sponsors.
