I would never put a timeframe on any investment, too many variables in markets, everything is a trade in my books even blue chips/property etc
It becomes an investment when you didn't use money management.
Economists cant even forecast very far out, even short term they are wrong nearly as often as right.

Why would you say I'm going to hold xyz for 2 years, could be macro issues in the economy that ruin your investment, could be competition in your sector that trumps what you have, the underlying price of your commodity could crash etc etc

Its foolish to put price or timeframes on anything really
