The email update from Simon Savage of Ionic states :-

Quote (highlighting mine) "We will shortly launch a Rights Issue that will represent excellent value and opportunity for existing shareholders and new investors looking to increase their stake in our exciting company as we prepare for our next phase of growth."

I became a Strategic Energy Resources shareholder after Ionic had been spun off and do hope that the above is correct and not a mistake .

I'll be contacting Simon Savage to find out how I can become an Ionic shareholder .

If Strategic are not going to take up their full allocation , it would be nice if Strategic could at least open it up to Strategic shareholders .
