The amount invested doesn't change an investments risk. It simply changes the risk capital.
For instance, setting aside government guarantees, whether I deposit $1000 or $1,000,000 with a bank doesn't change the risk associated with that investment. That is, the credit rating of the bank won't be affected by the amount of my deposit.
