Venezz - I'm not so thin skinned most of the time ;-)

Well for context you might think about Barangaroo as an example of the scale of revenues (that is how out of pocket the high rollers and whales will be). For a risky investment of $2b you expect a return of ??? $200m npat??? as a very rough example. To get that return you need revenues of roughly about $2b per annum from VIPs and high rollers only. The most prominent of the big gamblers are the Chinese at Crown Melbourne - not sure if you have been there, but there can be very big parties of Chinese people there. I am not so regular there, but I know people who go often. As an ethnic group - for some reason the wealthy Chinese, and their wives and employees and entourage or whatever they are called, seem desperate and able to splurge.

But the thing is they can only bring $50k USD per annum out of China! How do they get all the money they are spending? Why do they need to deal with Crown in China to get big to spend/invest massive dollars here in Aus? Well I will not say, as I do not know exactly, but no facilitation of funding, no Chinese, empty Mahogany room, empty hotel rooms, a big impact on the bottom line throughout the casino!
