    The size does matter to a point, I guess.

    More important though is;
    (i) the depth of cover (even if this is the world's largest magnetite deposit, too much sand cover over the project will kill it because the waste to ore ratio will be too high),
    (ii) the contaminants in the final beneficated product (too high a silica content will mean no one will buy the final product again killing the project), and
    (iii) the crush sized used in the beneficiation process (the smaller the crushing size needed, the more energy it takes and the longer it takes to complete the process - hence higher costs and lower production).

    I have no idea of how the MUM project stacks up in terms of these three variables. All I am saying is that with deposits such as the MUM iron ore project, the size of the deposit is not the only thing governing its 'value'.

    Naturally, we would all like to see it worth a fortune so that MUM has the money to get Curara Well up and running as quickly as possible.
