All I can say @ThinkMillions is that I am amazed that with all your posts and great analysis credits, you havent heard of the Wilson Stable of LICs or seen any advertising for any of the new floats. Geoff Wilson is undoubtedly the father of LIC funds in Australia. He is regarded as an astute, reputable, honest and successful fund manager, who has a great team, and who achieves good and consistenet results. All his funds are LICs (listed investment companies) and he has shown wisdom in both good and bad times in the management of his funds in achieving good results whilst holding reasonably high cash balances, and....giving good fully franked dividends. All of his funds. WAM, WAX, WAA, WLE, CTY, WMI and the recently floated international fund WGB can be bought as any other share on the ASX. WAM (the listed fund) can sometimes be confused with Wilson Asset Management (the management company) which is privately owned and not for public investment). WAM (management) comprehensively report at the end of each month on their individual performance and are open, honest and visible as educators and participants in numerous forums and roadshows.
