You put up capital, that capital funds certain activities based on a proposition. No guarantees. Welcome to the equity market. Businesses and projects and cases fail/lose quite regularly.
Ive said this a number of times over the years. The stock mkt is for sophisticated investors only. Its not appropriate for ppl who dont fully understand business or business investment. Having said this Im not against opening up markets so everyone has the opportunity to access it.
The company was exposed to execution AND regulatory risk. Both of which eventuated.

Timber, execution risk of its very nature entails trust in the sense of a belief that managers and directors know what they are doing, they are properly informing the market and are working hard to achieve results.
