As you'll have seen from our website, K-TIG is a new high speed, full penetration GTAW welding technology which hasenormous productivity, cost and quality advantages over existing processes - particularly in stainless steels and other corrosion resistant materials. To put that in perspective,K-TIG completes a 6 hour TIG weld in under 3 minutes - just 1% of the time normally required.

    Below is a short video of a typical full-penetration, single-pass K-TIG weld.

This particular video shows an autogenous weld, but wire can easily be added as you'll see from other videos in our YouTube channel.

Below are links to case studies from global fabricators GE and Bilfinger which describe the technology in action. If you’re short on time, just read page 1 which summarises the results. As you’ll see, fabrication cost savings are routinely in excess of 80% and often higher.

K-TIG is suitable for both longitudinal and circumferential welding, and is performed in asingle, full penetration pass up to 1/2in(13mm) in stainless, duplex, super duplex, hastelloy, inconel, nimonic and numerous other corrosion resistant materials and super alloys, andup to 5/8in(16mm) in titanium, zirconium and other reactive metals.

The process requiresno edge beveling, uses as little as 10% of the gas normally required, and produceshighly repeatable, x-ray quality weldswith superb cap and root aesthetics.

K-TIG welds meet US, European & Australasian welding standards, and have been subjected to exhaustive Lloyds-witnessed and certified testing. K-TIG has exported to 18 countries and is being used in production by many of the world’s most productive fabricators.
