The only thing saving this sinking ship is the Government's media sector reform (flagged this morning) banishing licence fees and removing takeover reach rules (and the like). Bruce Gordon or Murdoch will potentially have the ability to take TEN over and save it.
Clearly Bruce plans on dying a millionaire not a billionaire if he is interested in this junk! Either that or his children should get new jobs as the inheritance is shrinking by the day! The Murdoch play is at least strategic for the empires other assets Fox, Print and digital media + political influence.
I'd love to see ABC as the only Government funded channel (make a world ABC 2 channel that has the SBS offerings). Get rid of TEN and let SEVEN and NINE battle it out. Who even watches FTA TV these days???
