We do seem to be drifting away from the main topic of this forum and to close my end off.

Going through the public system 20 odd years ago in western Sydney, the biggest single missing link seemed to be a lack of parental care or awareness that they are an integral part of the education of their offspring. This seems to have migrated across the broader community over the years and my girls school is not immune. The difference seems to be the teachers do on the whole care for their charges and parents alike.

Can we talk about the health system next......
