Here are some posts from LSE which should interest MOD investors.

    Bots Govt ...........
.......... have the whole of the BCL Mine complement on Gardening leave. That is costing them a fortune ( all coming from their take on Orapa and Jwaneng and Bots Diamonds.

They wont go on for long like that so where will all the super numery staff go to. Also they are all long experienced staff.

How about they take 25% off MTR leaving them with 5% and take 25% off MOD leaving them with 45%.
Then drop an incline onto the drilled section and run it through the concentrator moved across from BCL with the crew. After that they can heap leach the concentrate and produce Cu on electrolysis.
The incline will be for trackless mining with conveyor belt to surface for ore after primary crushing at bottom of incline. Take first cut from top of ore body and bench down ......... really cheap mining down to 700m.
In the mean time drill like stink to find the next nearest cheap mineable ore and create satellite mines. Obviously they will raise bore a ventilation shaft down to 3oom level.

A gamble on finding suitable satellites but they have been doing it with BCL for decades.

They could move that super steam loco and track across as well to join up the little satellite mines ....... again a la BCL style.

5 year mine plan starting to take shape .......... but only if they take decision to use wet chemistry and no smelting.

So maybe you'all now know why your new investor has taken a position just now.

All guessing on my part and I know nothing ( except how to get the dirt out the mine.

So in 5 years time you can all compare my 5 year plan with what actually happened.

    Bots Government & Smelter

The theory about the Bots Government buying into MOD/ MTR does make perfect sense, and I agree, the timing of finally pulling the plug on BCL is interesting.

Regarding % stake by the Bots Gov. Don't they have the right to acquire 15% ? Any additional would be negotiated.

And the Bots Gov was due to make a decision about construction of a brand new smelter, not the BCL refurb.

I seem to recall an article with JH pushing/ hoping for news on that soon.

    RE: Bots Government & Smelter

I understand 15% is correct re Bots Govt at market value. We should have an NPV from PFS by year end, I believe. Could be useful cash for MOD to carry on with finding further targets and provide MTR with the much talked of divi. The govt won't want to discourage investment in mining and so if decent terms can be agreed for T3 then everyone should be happy.

    RE: Bots Government & Smelter

I fully expect MOD to be around for the long haul, and MTR to take an early pay day to some degree.

Maybe MTR will run with it's 5% in MOD.

Regarding the area around BCL, I've not looked, other than what BCL have. One assumes there's not much of interest, certainly what's immediately obvious anyway.

Certainly is an interesting dynamic if MOD/ MTR could have a sniff around, and you're right, the Bots Gov would love that.

The existing plant at BCL could prove useful perhaps. Maybe some of it could be relocated to the Kalahari. An expensive operation, but presumably cheaper than building a new one.

Something again that would look good for the Gov.

Must admit, I'm loving the timing of all this. BCL going pop, and new exciting discoveries in the Kalahari. We would surely get a whole load of support from the Gov.
