People selling will be using the same strategy as the Oil and Gas sector "Buy Early Sell Before Spud"
You get in really early when the SP is low, you get a run up before "Spud" and then you get out, even though you may miss out on the big gains, you have locked in a profit. Nobody went poor taking a profit.
