Just because there's something valuable there, it doesn't follow that it's going to be worth much.

For example: there's gold dissolved in the ocean. Six parts per trillion, according to a quick google search. About six kilograms per cubic kilometer. So yeah, there's a hell of a lot of gold out there: 1.3 billion cubic kilometers (Wikipedia) of water, times six kg per km3, equals 7.8 billion kg of gold.

How much would it cost to extract it? Waaaaaaaay more than you'd get for it, on the current market value of gold.

In the same way, there's almost certainly minerals of value down there. But will there be enough of them, in a rich enough form, to warrant the cost of mining them? I'm betting "probably" (and I've put my money where my mouth is.) But it isn't certain. The moment it becomes certain, the share price will move up accordingly. If it becomes certain that it isn't worth exploiting, the share price will plummet.

Keep your wits about you, folks; don't put in any more money than you can afford to lose. If it pays off, it'll pay off big time. If it doesn't, you'll lose almost all your investment. Nature of the beast.

(Why do I feel like I'm constantly cooling overly exuberant tempers around here?)
