    re: interesting stock footsie TAL was splitoff from Tower itself for only one reason as far as I can see, to make them more saleable. Together it means any purchasor would have to buy what they wanted plus something they didn't, by separating they can buy only the OZ or NZ business.

    GPG (their largest shareholder) are old masters at this and have IMO engineered this specifically as a means of maximising value by making it more attractive to takeover.

    So you, I have excercised my rights!
