Some old articles regarding CipherPoint which discuss some of the synergies with Covata:
* IP creation / patents - R&D grants
* Encrytion stationary and in transit
* Key Management
* Government Clients
* Health care customer data ... for those that have been around for a while ... remember Barmer in Germany ... just maybe?
* Addressing regulatory / data protect challenges - GDPR across EU - CipherPoint (Covata) is ready and primed, particularly with links with Microsoft through both organisations.
Covata spent more on San Fran office under previous management team for no reward that the cost of this acquisition ... more value from my perspective.
The patent, No. 8631460, covers a method of providing transparent encryption for a Web resource, the company said.
"This patent award is important on several levels," said Mike Fleck, CipherPoint CEO. "First, it validates CipherPoint's technological leadership and innovation in the area of data encryption and key management in on-premises and cloud environments.
"Second, it emphasizes the trust that our customers have placed in Cipherpoint, and finally it highlights our dedication to building highly-secure systems that are simple to deploy and manage."
