IHG moved today 10% on no news and higher volume than normal. As i have been following this stock over the past 3 years it will be no surprise of an announcement in the next 2 weeks. Check volumes and price action in past before announcements.
Interestingly though that the UK is now progressing to full roll out of EFTPOS based PIN terminals to stop fraud and not the signature based system they currently have. This has only come out in the last week. They have set a 2 year deadline to convert every point of sale place in the country to PIN activated terminals. Considering that Intellect are in the uk already there may be the possibility of massive contracts in the UK. Just my opinion and a reason for the increase today.
