“Glencore's Katanga operation (the one with
uranium ores
anyone?) now processes about 3,000,000tpa with Cobalt grades at ~%0.4. WFE ONLY needs to process 1,500,000tpa at 1% to
equal
that. At
1.5%
Cobalt grades? Just
1,000,000tpa! 1mtpa at 1.5% Cobalt grade and we'll rival Glencore's Katanga,
with Cobalt ore costs inclusive of delivery cleverly hedged to the LME.

Great post....super informative as always
Yes we’ve seen that before, the one that got away slipped straight the fingers. Ouch!!
Adding to your calcs I wonder how the JV compare to Glencore for the expected ~600tpa at 2% or possibly 3%? As the minimum is +1%Co the “average” of all the graded material has to be above 1%.
At the last AGM I was shown data for ore supplies delivered to others from these small mechanised artisan miners, the “average” was around low 2’s, I think that will put us around level pegging with Glencore.
Tonnage is King, Grade is Queen......achieve tonnes + grade and you pull out the mighty Joker!! lol
How can one not get excited about the prospects of WFE?
