If a partner wanted say a 30% slice of the pie, How many more shares would that add  the already bloated 1.6 billion shares. I look at it this way, when a partner comes on board, looking at it from the partners perspective they would not want to be in a stock that is a hostil take over target. They the partner would be wanting this honour.
This imo is the main base reason for consolidation. The excuse that big funds will jump in is a by product of the impending partnership.
We'll see how it all unfolds, got my popcorn because these pretzels are making me thirsty.
