There's many reasons why. Seeds had already made their money, they have not sold all, but what they have sold was said to be tax related. Looks like they sold more then what was needed for tax payments, but logic in these circumstances doesn't necessarily point to them 'only finding out now the Tech is BS'. It just doesn't work that way.
Seeds get in early > Support > Sell and free carry > Rinse and Repeat.
