My heart says: I hope RB is right to have faith in the entrepreneurial credentials of the Board (which I suspect are reasonably good, notwithstanding the dismal corporate governance credentials...it's been hard to keep a company like ours going post GFC, if not before)and so my heart hopes we can optimistically look forward to an upturn in SP.....
BUT my head says (for the reasons that you and Kosenar and others have raised on HotCopper) that things will never improve until past mistakes are acknowledged and a genuine commitment is given to improve transparency coupled with a commitment to take seriously the statutory and common law duties of directors. Like you I have been re-reading some of the material on the reform website. Some of the correspondence in reply from our Company appears to take creative obfuscation to a new level...perhaps even a new world record?
BTW I have written to ASA asking whether they will have a look at the corporate governance issues raised here as a matter of public interest and confidence in the system of regulation of listed public companies.
