I have read a number of estimates for a price that might be struck between Shell and AOE. In my opinion we need to remember that Shell has been around for a long time. It has survived wars, depressions, pressure groups (eg over problems in Nigeria, doing business in apartheid South Africa) etc. I would say that by now they a pretty well a street wise bunch and tough negotiators.

In my opinion the protectors of our stake in AOE (the directors) will be really tested in this one. Good luck to them for the sake of us all.
