I also have been doing a bit of research and comparing it to the kambalda dome.. The base of the dome where the highest nickle concentration occurs underneath a massive sulphide zone generally nickle % is these zones are 10-14%..
From today's annoucement the IP and EM logs registered a deeper conductor which could relate to a "massive sulphide zone"
From here as the dome moves towards surface the nickle "Disseminated Sulphides This zone consists of a fine-grained (0.5 to 2mm) sprinkling of sulphides scattered throughout the ultramafic host rock. It usually grades from 0.5% to 2.0% nickel.It forms the uppermost unit of the ore zone, and may have a gradational upper boundary against the unmineralised overlying host rock" The ore returns from the RC drilling may not contain high amounts of nickle but this was to be expected if we have a kambalda dome repeat..
