Pokerface, Sorry, I got the threads confused.I was referring to TAP. AMU and TAP have similar situations. An interesting comparison.
In AMU's case the board are now making the right moves to test whether shareholders would get more value from an asset sale than they would otherwise see in the shareprice.
In TAP's case the sharepice also doesn't reflect the value of the assets but the board are not testing whether they should sell up. Seems like self interest to me.
The board of AMU are far more in tune with the interests of the shareholders. They are having Macquarie run a sale process for the assets. Perhaps because the AMU board have more skin in the game.
