OIP was spun out of ESG and has ESG staff as directors and ex-ESG founders as shareholders And ESG has 23%). Santos has said it is working "collaboratively" with ESG (who are the operators of the OIP leases) .. so I don't expect them to launch a bid for OIP before its suitable to ESG .. and perhaps as part of a bid for ESG. That could of course be soon .. provided we get a reserves upgrade .. soon.
