India v Pakistan. (Not Cricket) Dangerous times, page-23

I'm currently reading a book called 'Directorate S' by Steve Coll and what I have deduced from this book, is the US puts up with Pakistan, because of them possessing Nukes and a need for a supply route to Afghanistan.

Basically, what the book infers, is that the Pakistan spy agency (ISI) has its own agenda that the civil govt can’t control.

The book basically infers that they supply and encourage the Afghan Taliban to attack NATO troops because of India's  humanitarian assistance.

The agency see that thru the Taliban, they protect their strategic interests in Afghanistan.

They are basically encouraging the Taliban to kill our troops,  and to hamper Australian humanitarian assistance to the local Afghan people.

Pakistan should be thrown out of the Commonwealth and stop them participating in our typical sports.
