"Australian companies have applied for mining leases in the country and eight such applications are pending at different stages with the Ministry of Mines as well as the government of Rajasthan,Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh and Orissa, she said."
A good number of the 8 applications would be for IRL, but I wonder what " fast track clearances to mining lease applications" means. Fast by Indian standards could be 20 years.
We need some good news to offset all the bad news. I hope the Directors are not sitting on their bums regarding the Stop Work Instruction at Surda Mine. They should get off their backsides and go to India and sort it out. IRL needs a standby fee to cover all costs including wages while all work has been suspended at the mine .
Plus demand immediate payment of money owed from the Arbitration Case one year ago
Lets see how capable Directors are with this problem
"At this time it is not known how long the stop work instruction will remain in place."
I'd say a very long time.
