The above article (cheers xerxes) illustrates how lousy Indian coal is.But didn't realise their power generation equipment(boilers) are so poor that they dare not burn decent coalin them!! Power stations deterioate with age and hopefully new versions will be geared for superior grade coal. However, i am concerned india is so far behind re increasing port capacity which will hinder coalimports.Probably only coking coal will initially be allowed into country. Brazil has better faciliyies.
