I have always been interested in indeterminate results in testing for LTBI with QFT.
With the IGRAS there is a three way result..........Positive, negative, indeterminate (esp in children, immuno depressed)
with TST
postive, negative
Now that TST is losing credibility and will be routinely replaced by an IGRA
T Spot is not amenable to mass application and is expensive.......BUT
It has been noted that nearly all QFT IT indeterminates are NEGATIVE in the TSPOT test.................
maybe TSPOT can be used on QFT indeterminates
