ASIC Regulatory Guide 79 is an interesting read.

Intended to "improve the quality of investment research".
However, if a presentation "does not comply with Regulatory Guide 79", then it tends to negate what ASIC was trying to achieve. A lot of presentations by these "independent investment companies" are just paid advertisements, and need to be taken with a grain of salt.
Nice video however.
