Invitation to Inaugural 3D Australia Conference, 24- 27 October, The University Melbourne
It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the inaugural 3D Australia conference held at
the University of Melbourne from 24 - 27 October 2017. 3D Australia 2017 comprises the 3D
Geoinfo Conference 2017, the 1st international workshop on BIM and GIS integration, and 3D
Cadastre symposium and training. It will also launch Australia's Urban Analytics Data
Infrastructure (UADI). We have a fantastic lineup of presenters, and we are pleased to
announce that our keynote addresses will be made by:
The 3D GeoInfo Conference 2017 brings together international researchers from academia,
industry and government in the field of 3D geoinformation. The conference offers an
interdisciplinary forum to researchers in the fields of data collection, advanced modelling
approaches, data analysis and visualisation.
BIM-GIS Integration is a pre-conference workshop session of 3D GeoInfo 2017. The
workshop provides a platform for researchers to present and discuss their work in various
aspects of BIM and GIS integration.
The 3D Cadastre symposium and training will present the Centre for Spatial Data
Infrastructures and Land Administration’s previous and current research topics related to 3D
Cadastre. It will also provide training on the implementation of 3D digital cadastral systems.
The Urban Analytics Data Infrastructure (UADI) is an Australian Research Council Linkage
Infrastructure, Equipment and Facilities (ARC LIEF) funded project, which has been
developed by a consortium of urban research centres across Australia to address a lack of
data integration and harmonisation issues.
