I think he's on to something but the terminology is a bit confusing.
Once a week I drive off on a fire trail and walk into the bush and sit for an hour or so just listening. Staggering what goes on out there where there are no people.
And daily I walk down along the river and sit in a nature seat of rock hard up against the high tide and spend an hour doing nothing. But I wouldn't use boredom as my terminology, nor meditating, I just sit and watch what's going on around me. It's a glorious luxury after years of being enslaved by a mobile phone and an endless barrage from clients.
I'd call it, in the moment.
