Just want to check my thinking, which seems to concur with above. The dividend would not be dilutive if there was no Div Reinvestment plan right? But the people who do use the DRP get the units at the NTA discount (around 30% + 2.5% further discount). I don't use DRP's as they are a hassle for CGT, and I need to pay my interest bill, but the big big discount makes this one attractive.
The CTN managers want their funds under management to go up, so they are not at all interested in the unfairness to non-DRP users. I really can't understand why the big share holders go along with this stuff.
The gamble is that you may never see the Div you reinvested. As far as I know CTN is long-only right?
