GRANT WASHINGTON-SMITH

Bioxyne’s research division is led by Grant Washington-Smith BSc (Hons), MBA. Grant is a nutritional scientist. He is the Chief Scientist of the New Zealand Nutritional Research Institute based at the Fitzherbert Science Park in Palmerston North, New Zealand.

From 2001-2006 he held a senior management role, leading a product and business innovation group at Amway’s global headquarters in Ada, Michigan.

As a Senior Manager of Business Innovation for Amway Inc, Grant was involved in a number of new product introductions, including personalized nutrition and genetic testing related to nutritional supplements for heart disease.

During his career, Grant has launched several successful companies, products and ingredient brands and many of these companies have gained awards and international recognition.

Grant returned to New Zealand where he has been working with GTNZ to develop its own range of award winning products.
