New soco a different beast/in a different segment to CU.

New soco more like a trad motorbike and with 100kmph capability means can be used for intercity travel.

So announcing would not affect pre-orders for CU.

Personally think that a souped / beefed up CU developed by vmoto and soco will replace the current 'delivery' offering by the company and that the subsequent total rebranding away from vmoto will mean that we can re-enter viet, indonesia and india markets where we suffered reputational damage because of quality issues a while back.

So closer ties inevitable I think but would kill to know how close and the nature of the ties between vmoto and soco.

CU variant much more attractive for delivery and share segment as less 'moving parts'.
Soco much more suited to trad motorbike riders and commuters. And the belt/chain drive completed the 'sexy' look but with the green credentials.

If we can maintain the ex-china market and leave the china market to soco then life as separate entities is viable. If china and ex-china markets not seen as separate long-term entities the some sort of merger likely.

Think I prefer shared manufacturing line and separate market allocation but not sure given lack of clarity about a number of issues.

But like I said the new soco changes things and that's why I hopeful again.

One last thing. The share segment particularly Loopshare hiring a Shanghai based marketer / director raises some issues about our supposed 'exclusive' arrangement with Loop and their capital raising endeavours. Blah blah.

All my own opinion obviously.
