I'm quite excited about this contract to be signed Thursday night for what appears to be a new product based on our platform Quantiferon. The company have always said that they aim to release a new test each year.
There are many many candidates for what this new product may be. A popular suggestion is Chlamydia pneumoniae as it seems that SSI (our partners in the QFT-Gold test antigens) have been doing some work in this area using the Quantiferon-CMI (base technology) kit.
I guess we will find out Friday or Monday.
This, plus the FDA approval for the TB test should really add some impetus to this company.
