IMHO a huge stuff up...I cannot discuss what was said by the secretary but I did not get a satisfactory response from him and he hung up on me when i pointed out the clause to him.
I have since written officially to the MD and Chairman. I have advised them that if I don't get a satisfactory response and action from them by COB I will be doing the same as you, going to the authorities. I await with bated breath.
