It is a domestic PNG cable that follows their coastline and connects to the Coral Sea Cable System we are building. Huawei currently intended to build it with US$200m from China's Exim bank.

Good time for Pacific Islands to be asking for help to building a cable...

I dont think we are as obvious a choice to build it as we where for CSCS, just because it involves more countries, and it doesnt connect to AU territory, so there could be a much wider field of possible companies.

I dont think there is much benefit to the builder anyway...
