Data orchestration sounds a bit like the process of producing a single view of data (in this case customer data) that has originated from different internal or external systems. Where multiple systems hold differing aspects of the complete picture, the goal is to harness all of the information to make better decisions. Orchestration is a word that might describe the standard data management steps (extract, load, transform, harmonise, enrich, analyse) that we need in our post 1984 world of "newspeak".
I'm just waiting for my appointment with the ministry of love, but it's possible I am just doublethinking the word.
