Paywalled story in the Australian, mentions a disagreement between Spenceley and Horth years ago, perhaps it was the issue that triggered the 'big drama';
"Singtel Said to Tap BofA for Pursuit of Australia's Amaysim"
"This column also understands that James Spenceley was eager for the company that he co-founded, Vocus, to buy Amaysim when he was on the board about two years ago, but the former Vocus managing director, Geoff Horth, was against the idea."
Another thing, from the previous link i posted about Dodo brand revamp, it will be "visible through an above-the-line campaign spanning TV, print, online and outdoor", above-the-line means it reduces EBITDA, which is perhaps one factor that plays into the pessimistic guidance for FY19. I dont know how much these sorts of things cost, but i expect its not a big deal, and will pay for itself pretty quick with new subs.
