Our General Manager of Data Centres has left for NextDC, he has been in charge for 4 years and 8 months according to his linkin profile.
The future of Vocus DC's has been up in the air for a while now, there where moves to sell them off, or find other ways to "unlock value", so i wonder if his departure is related to more upcoming changes.
Also from his linkin profile;
"During his time at Vocus, Adam demonstrated history of strong performance in the Data Centre industry successfully integrating 18 facilities onto a national unified platform. Adam led a geographically diverse team to deliver a Net Promoter Score of 50+ whilst successfully completing M&A opportunities alongside the day to day BAU operations."
I dont think ive ever seen a NPS before, but it suggests he is leaving with our DC's in good shape.
"NEXTDC has revealed its plans to accelerate its influence in the field of data-centre-as-a-service in Australia.
The company has announced a new senior appointment with Adam Gardner joining NEXTDC as head of products.
Gardner comes to NEXTDC from Vocus Communications where he held the role of general manager of data centres, charged with leading the operation and integration of both Vocus owned and third party data centre portfolios with the goal to foster an exemplary customer service across Vocus’ 20 data centres." https://datacenternews.asia/story/nextdc-makes-strategic-investment-drive-new-data-centre-solutions/
