Well, we needed people for Wholesale and International, and also Enterprise and government, and the two new people have a lot of years of experience at the right level, probably good contacts etc.

Kevin Russell just came from Telstra, so i guess they are a known quantity, not just random Telstra people looking for a new gig.

I do think Telstra has problems with leadership (mainly CFO as CEO), but its always more complex than just bad execs, its about finding a person that fits a team, and fits the company culture. Vocus has had some quick turnovers in the past, if it doesnt look like working out, i hope they wont be shy about looking for a better appointment.

Given Telstra is sacking 8000 people, there is probably a good opertunity to pick up some good experienced people.
