Yeah, I checked them out as a long term hold and had them on the watchlist, hovered over the buy button at around $3 but then they spiked the next day up by 50c on announcement of purchase of Telecom New Zealand International voice business and kept going to over $4. I ended up buying more Telstra.
I still think they're a good long term buy, but I think I'll stay where I am with the telcos as I've had a bit of luck with AMM and IIN, which I fluked and bought a couple of weeks before the TO announcement, plus TLS/VOC/IIN make up 20% of the portfolio.
A couple of other tech/communication/telco type stocks I've bought recently are Speedcast SDA at $2.60 and today made a small buy of Superloop SLC at $1.89, both companies Michael Malone, ex IIN founder, has a big interest in, hopefully they'll make up for the Slater & Gordon SGH bought a couple of weeks ago at $5.
Good luck.
