Agree rodb. Fraser Range has a lot of cover (transported material) which means that geochem in soil, rock chips etc is not possible to use as a tool to identify targets. You are therefore relying on geophysics i.e. EM etc. Whilst this technique has shown up plenty of conductor targets, it is risky as drilling is expensive and the region has shown many conductors are worthless shales not mineralisation. Not ideal for small companies like RTR. From what I understand most major discoveries in Australia happen form geochem i.e. soil and rock chip testing followed by geophysics to further prove up the target before expensive drilling. From the announcements so far, Braeside looks to have minimal cover, therefore the geochem is a good indicator of potential. Followed up with geophysics, if the two line up i.e. good geochem over good conductors then we are potentially off to the races. RTR are following this tried and tested process so it will be interesting to see how it plays out in coming weeks.
