Weir does have multiple previous drug positives. Perhaps they'll take a tougher line if he's found guilty on this occasion. It might be that the stewards involved the police so that the sanction on this occasion goes beyond what the racing industry can impose, because being thrown out of racing once you've made millions by cheating isn't much of a penalty at all.
