Yoda reads in Street Talk today
"Billionaire James Packer has severed another tie with former Crown Resorts chairman Rob Rankin by quietly selling out of his holding in investment vehicle Pacific Point Partners.
Street Talk understands Packer and his private investment vehicle Consolidated Press Holdings backed out of the Pacific Point investment in recent months.
The duo originally set up and jointly controlled Pacific Point, which facilitated investments such as a cornerstone stake in funds management house CGA".
1) George likes to parade the Packer connection. Perform a google search. Every article about CGA mentions Packer backing. If ST is right, how many misleading comments have been made in the past few months?
2) if ST is right, should not ASX be informed? Composition of significant 20% shareholder has itself significantly changed. Retail investors are significantly swayed by a Packer 10% holding , much more than a Rankin 20% holding ( sans Packer)?
