there was a time i'd read and study the oz mkt for hours and hours along with all the company reports but sadly those days came to an end. just can't do it now. still have me cafe con leches tho and these are usually over a lonely planet guide book (a few pages per day) ready for the next trip. this'll be mynamar and laos dec-jan.
so 40 had not heard of bci. wot you all say ? ok i can hear you.
i don't spend too much time on comp or hc either. reason is terrible headaches. been thro many docs and eye specialists but the neurologist 'who's in charge of 40' just says stay off comp. that's 'impossible' so as i like to keep in touch i now let things find me instead of researching 24/7 to find the gems. i did however study trf at the outset and did well in the early run up days, sold out and put back my profits plus a bit more not so long ago.
if i ever had any confidence in any newbie miner then this trf/ife is it. once the first truck and cheque cross paths then one would expect something better to happen.
in these mkts tho, it's the 'temporary bears' who're in charge, altho i remain very bullish indeed and have since the very end of 2008. for me it's either top companies world wide, usd and sterling for safety measures during this euro turmoil. once the euro 'crash' takes effect i'll be adding to my holdings aggressively.
trf and ife are my only minnows and i have no wish to sell them atm. my ife holding is small as i prefer trf. however i did add to ife today using up some spare cash sitting in the kitty that was too small for much else. 2500 ife at 43 was not exactly a major buy was it but the excitement teddy got out of it was well worth it lol.
a few mths back i bought a parcel of trf through my london broker. the last time i held oz stock in london was GMK ! That went into Normandy and dear old Robert de Crespiny. good times. 1991 ! And it was all this that took me into OZ all those yrs ago.
i wonder if trf and ife will do it all again.
sold up and left oz almost one yr ago. bought in uk and bailed out of that within weeks (many probs but not for hc). hope to settle 04/07. so no home of my own atm - mostly cashed up waiting.
40 and mrs 40 miss oz heaps but not the incompetence of the bureaucrats that a non ozzie has to put up with.
sad is this.
never mind, we move on and let's hope for better times ahead (in all directions as it is for 40)
ps anyone know what is best to do with 50m3 of household effects that are in uk and 40 back in spain ?
at least i have my lil ozzie car with me he he.
