Great post TBE. I was thinking same. This business is in growth phase so we IMO have identified a cash cow. That they can bank this amount so early is a significant achievement. Hence the annoucement. The payments will be have terms. The stronger the customer the longer the payment terms they can demand. ETC deals with goverments who can demand good terms. ETC should be in a position to announce dividends which in the short term this year 40% of profit IE .03 to .045 cents per share moving to 60 % in 2010 or around .12 cents per share. If they announce dividends this year the payment question is irrelevant. They must receive the cash to payout.
IMO The dividends would put a rocket under the share price.
The S/P 1/6 t0 15/6 .48 Annoucemen confirming NPAT 48M and 10m cash. from 16/6 to 19/6 .435 from 22/6 to 16/7 around .38 give or take a few low days the low days are 7/7 .36, 8/7 .3379 9/7 .3507 and today 17/7 .3658. today price = 3.3 times expected 2009 earnings or or 1.8 2010 earnings. Why so low? We will find out in the next 2 months.
