I think we are moving a little too far into conspiracy land here
On enquiring i was informed that it was the companies legal team that advised that AMU should be halted/suspended, accordingly the board followed their advice.
For what reason this was deemed necessary, i am not privy.

I am encouraged that the parties are still at the table (although i too find this lengthy process frustrating), and hope we will see a suitable offer soon
