Can you provide the link.for the solid state batteries that are going into EV's on a production basis please.
I know they were working on a semi solid state battery for EV's but is not accepted at the standard for EV's still of the N Mn Co breed. Some improvement on energy density, but not Solid state

There are 100's of battery ideas, all claiming the holy grail. Carbon nano tube, air aluminium, Iron, ect
Right here & now the Giga factories are tooling up for Li Ion battery production (predominately Lithum & Cobalt plus other material) & with the volume anticipated these factories will need to be fed a steady diet of pure, ethically produced materials.
Your smart phone, electric cars et al exist due to the child labour in the DRC.
The equivalent of the blood diamonds for the production of Cobalt, where unscrupulous mining companies take advantage of the under priviledged.
So while you drive around in your new shiny car with you new Apple X in your pocket, think about how many died digging that mineral from underground & being paid 50c a hour so that you can bang on about how much you have saved the world with your "Emission free car". You would be all over this, I am sure, but here is one article...at least the hand digging is carbon free mining

On that point to ethically produce the mineral currently needed for these batteries, how much are you prepared to pay to ensure it is ethically sourced?????
Various combination of Li Co exist. The push is to reduce the Co percentage to 8 1 1 (Ni, Co, Mn). But this denser battery is proving problematic in a number of areas, plus the entire factory needs to have the manufacturing process contained in inert gas, (currently making manufacturing more expensive).
